Although the job was not very busy, it was enough to keep me going and had helped me to learn a lot about the factory operations.

5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
★★★★★★☆☆☆☆

Rated 6/10

I would say that I have been given a fair amount of responsibilities given that I have come from zero experience in the factory.

6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
★★★★★★★★☆☆

13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
★★★★★★★★☆☆

Rated 8/10

My salary was enough to cover the cost of living as well as for entertainment and socialising. I have also managed to saved up some for travelling.

14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
★★★★★★★★★

Rated 9/10

There were a few night out organized by people from work and I have attended a lot of them if not all of them. It was great to spend time with colleagues outside work as we get to see each other in a different way and it was a lot of fun.

15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
★★★★★★★☆☆☆

Rated 7/10

The company always try to organize a day out for the employee whenever possible. I went to a paint ball game once with my colleagues and it was a great experience.

In addition to these questions, is there any extra information you would like to leave about your experiences on your work placement that other students may be interested in?

I think overall the placement has been a great and new experience for me. It is definitely the best way to feel what its like working in the real industry. The experience is something that we would never get from university. Nevertheless, the student should try to make the most out of the placement by trying to get involved with the work as much as possible by showing initiative and willingness.
