Preparing memos and research on areas of the law, lots of proof reading, attend meetings, running errands around London, organising bundles and helping to make other people's jobs easier.

Towards the end of the placement the department was relatively quiet so there was less work to get involved in, but never had nothing to do.

Always felt like the work I was doing was going to be useful to some extent. You don't expect to be given too much responsibility but was able to sit in meetings and get involved in a range of important projects.

Watching, learning and then putting the skills into practice within the firm will be invaluable. I have had the chance to get a head start on the subjects and skills that will be useful in the GDL and LPC and feel much more confident about the work I do.
