I completed an 8 week internship. I spent by time with a Client Coverage team (front office sales) that specialises in the Retail and Wholesale sector. My role was a Relationship Support Manager which meant I dealt with day-to-day banking queries from clients and indentified new target customers.

It is certainly a challenging experience but on the whole it was very enjoyable. It is a very positive experience and the HR team make sure that you gain as much as possible from your time there. You are encouraged to learn as much as possible about any business area you are interested in and are encouraged to get as much exposure to different teams as possible.

There is a good mix of working within your set team and intern-specific training events. You get through alot in 8 weeks but you never feel overwhelmed.

everyone was very social and we would have intern organised nights out at least twice a week. There was also a five-a-side football team.
