I felt very valued as I was creating analysis tools for the rest of the department, i was kind of doing them a favour so the were very respectful.

I did really get any guidance from management though I never asked for it or needed it. I am sure the support would have been there if required.

Fairly, I always had something to be getting on with, once or twice I worked late as my manager needed some help with data the he required for an early meeting the following morning. It was a good balance, a few times a day I would have walked about to have a chat with the other placements.

Variable, some of the time was dealing with fairly mundane tasks, where towards the end i was part of a team working on a very majot and huge budget project. £millions

Excellent, I learned fast amounts whilst at Corus, the most valid of which would be mastering Visual Basic whem I had never used it before my placement.

Very good, we had a great laugh, the people i was working with were mad, always up for a beer at lunchtime, haha. i really did look forward to work.

I had the oppertunity to go on most of the courses they offered. the best of which was the defensive driving course!

The Best had a great time!!! went out every weekend, played football in the week, went on a conoeing trip in the summer!!!! just brilliant

i lived at home so the cost were minimal south wales is reasonably well prices in terms of living and socialising. most of the placements lived in cardiff about 10 miles from newport

yes, mainly with the other placements, there were 14 of us in total, but 8 of us become close friends.

In addition to these questions, is there any extra information you would like to leave about your experiences on your work placement that other students may be interested in?

Overall a great experience would recommend ot to anyone looking for an industrial placement. they offered many different disiplines not just IT, there were business, engineering and marketing students on placement.
