I did not feel like a placement student whilst working at Jagex, as I was treated based on the quality and effort of my work and not on my placement status.

I gained many responsibilities whilst working at Jagex, leading to me having a fair amount of work that I was responsible for. Whilst sometimes I did need to prioritize my work effectively to prevent being overly busy, I didn't ever feel bored.

I became a lead curator for two different roles, the specialist of copyright enforcement for user-generated content and a shift leader for a core team. This gave be many responsibilities which allowed me to make an impact in my areas of expertise.

Jagex invested both time and money to help me learn and develop skill sets that I wouldn't have if I stayed on at university. I have identified a whole new career path that I wish to pursue in the future which I doubt I would have discovered if I hadn’t come to Jagex.

A placement schedule was setup at the start of the year; and whilst it wasn't followed strictly, we were still given many placement-specific opportunities including QAs/meetings/jollies.

Whilst working shifts made it difficult for everyone to be out at once, there were many opportunities to either relax with other employees or go out into town. Furthermore Jagex offered many Jollies for us to enjoy as a company.
