The Role
- Role Description
During this vacation scheme, I worked in two departments. I spent my first week in Employment & Pensions, during which I researched points of law and compiled a case bundle for the court. During my second week, I worked in the General Liability & Medical department. I attended a meeting with Counsel, researched potential speakers for seminars and analysed small claims. We also had a number of interesting presentations, with topics including the 'T Shaped' lawyer, CSR and insurance law.
The firm organised a range of socials, including London Eye drinks and buffet lunches, which were a great way to learn more about the culture of the firm as well as being a lot of fun!

Fairly busy, I always had plenty of work to be doing in my department and our group business project also kept us busy.

Quite a high degree of responsibility, some of the work I undertook I felt really contributed to the work of the departments.
