What are my responsibilities?

  • Contract Administration – knowledge of the contractual mechanisms and procedures applied at various stages of the contract
  • Contract Practice – knowledge of the contract at project level, including the implications and obligations that apply to the parties of the contract. Carrying out the contractual mechanisms and procedures relevant to the financial management aspects of your project, such as change procedures, valuations, loss and expense and final accounts
  • Project reporting - the preparation and presentation of reports on the performance of a project at regular intervals, to provide effective forecasting of costs, risks and their financial implications
  • Quantification and costing - carrying out measurement and quantification

What do I need to qualify for this job?

  • Currently enrolled on a Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management course at an undergraduate course
  • Ability to operate effectively within a team environment – required to interface with finance, project management, engineering and planning functions
  • Possess good analytical decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Good financial and commercial acumen
  • Good technical knowledge, or ability to learn and apply new concepts quickly
  • Confident and able to deal internally at senior levels
  • Strong computing skills
