We have fantastic opportunities in our commercial department at our Head Office in Market Drayton, working on live projects that deliver a tangible benefit to the business, either in the strategy team or the retail team.

Commercial Placement

Whether working on the national account of a top 4 supermarket in our retail team or in our overall strategy team, you will help ensure the best possible performance for our market leading products. You will work closely with a mentor and receive best-in-class training to get to know our business and the dynamic world of FMCG. You will be analysing data, planning and forecasting so that you can track and improve the performance of all our products.

You’ll be looking for a 12-month placement to support your studies and be on course for a minimum 2:1 degree in a business related subject. In the retail role, you will also need a driving licence to visit sites around the country. We are looking for well-rounded candidates with evidence of hobbies, jobs and activities outside education. Able to confidently communicate with people at all levels, you must be able to demonstrate excellence in four key areas to ensure you are successful:

• Decision making skills. You must have the confidence and conviction to make independent decisions and explain them to colleagues.
• Analytical skills to work with and interpret spreadsheets of data and solve complex issues.
• Teamwork. You enjoy direct, honest discussions and winning as part of a team.
• The capacity to embrace change – both change around you and change you create.

If the internship goes well then you, like many of our successful interns, could be considered for one of our graduate positions. We are flexible on the start date, which could be from early July to late August depending on what works best for you.
