Supply Chain Forecasting Placement
Supply chain excellence is dependent on the quality of the Short Term forecast, this role has a key responsibility to bring a strong forecast upon which other functions within Supply Chain depend. You will be sharing relevant info with supply planning team to allow them to maximise CSL & minimise waste, calculating trade-offs where necessary; bring insights to customer collaboration and category demand planner on short term brand trends to be aware of; translate customer knowledge from customer collaboration into a weekly and daily, by SKU forecast.
Mission of the role
- Input and articulate ST volume forecast for 3 to 4 brands for 12 week horizon
- Together with supply planning team proactively manage supply risks and opportunities over a 12 week period
- Gather information, largely from customer collaboration team to build daily and weekly forecast for the period. Incorporate customer knowledge from customer collaboration team to manage the operational forecast:
- Promo performance
- Analyse daily order patterns to manage and articulate short term brand trends

- Is able to spot and articulate emerging trends on the brand in the demand forecast and to the wider SC team
- Strong communicator – clearly articulating forecast and potential ambiguity that needs to be taken into account within this
