Who are we?

The Group operates three worldwide business lines.

Architectural supplies glass for buildings and Solar Energy applications.

Automotive serves the original equipment, aftermarket replacement and specialized transport glazing markets.

Technical Glass products include very thin glass for displays, lenses and light guides for printers. And glass fibre used in battery separators and engine timing belts.

The role

An excellent opportunity exists for an undergraduate providing a supporting role in a variety of global procurement initiatives relating to e-procurement technology, data standardisation and management information.

Procurement within NSG Group operates as a single, global function supporting all business lines within the Group. Procurement is responsible for the management of supplier relations to delivery value to the Group in a sustainable way. We measure our contribution in terms of:

  • Cost and Cash management
  • Risk Management and Supply Security
  • Value Chain Optimisation and
  • Innovation and Growth

Placement activities

Working within one of our category teams you will be challenged with real projects and initiatives within the Procurement function. You will be working as a Category Business Analyst supporting one of the category teams with spend analysis to support sourcing or supplier rationlisation projects.

The person

The ideal candidate would be:

  • Procedural and methodical in their approach to work
  • Logical and accurate
  • Have a high degree of numeracy
  • IT literate
  • Able to work on own initiative
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

Some knowledge or awareness of Procurement processes is desirable. Also a full UK driving license and car ownership would be an advantage due to limited public transport to the site.
