The Casting: We’re looking for forward thinking and charismatic individuals who can demonstrate academic success teamed with personal and professional achievements. You will of course love TV and have a passion to succeed within a global, fast paced and ever evolving media industry. You will be a second to final year undergraduate on track to attaining a 2:1 or above or completing a placement as part of your degree.

The Action: In return we offer a great paid intern placement. We’ll work with you to build your skills through hands on training, work shadowing, project management and introducing you to some of the best in the business.

We offer:

Department Overview

You would be given a chance to work in the Programming department with Material Ordering, Material handling, Compliance review, Compliance Edits, Presentation Scheduling, Media Planning and Live On- Air broadcast.

The department currently service 14 channels across the Nordic region with varied and exciting channel content. From; Own produced entertainment and drama, Discovery documentaries, Acquisitions, Live Entertainment shows, Premiere league, La Liga, and other live sport events.

You would get a unique opportunity to work closely with internal and regional departments, and get an insight to Acquisition, Compliance, traffic, Strategic On-Air Planning, sales and marketing and Programme planning.

Our aim is to provide a fully optimised, strategically sound and compliant broadcast for our channels, by seeking out efficiencies, being progressive and reactive to our customers’ needs.

Overall Purpose of the Role

  • Analyse and present an optimised on air plan for our on- air look together with our Media planner, present it to channel representative and oversee implementation
  • Examine and seek out efficiencies in our Live Scheduling model across territories
  • Assist our content Coordinator in analysing our expanding Access service requirements and present an optimised workflow
  • Assist our Compliance editors in reviewing and audit our workflows

Desirable Skills/Experience Required

Good Computer skills. As the role has a creative slant, image software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, video editing would be an advantage.

A proactive team player able to work well with others but also on their own. Keen to learn and help.
Languages would be a bonus.

Desired subjects: Media studies and Video and Production
