Project Support Assistant

This role will offer an undergraduate student the opportunity to gain insight into how a multinational organisation can plan and deliver large scale global projects. The successful candidate will engage with key stakeholders to further their learning and development, and provide support to experienced project managers through all stages of a project lifecycle.

Roles & responsibilities

  • Assist project managers in the delivery of key technology projects and processes
  • Own the administration responsibilities for senior members of the IT Leadership Team
  • Collate and disseminate monthly reports for the IT Directorate
  • Conduct financial analysis of various business operations across the IT function
  • Facilitate monthly resource planning meetings
  • Self manage smaller work assignments as full lifecycle projects
  • Engage in other ad-hoc analysis to develop business acumen

Overview of ideal candidate

  • Undergraduate student in their penultimate year of study
  • On course for a 2:1, in a business or technology related degree
  • Ideally has an understanding of PRINCE2 project management methodology and/or Agile development frameworks
  • Proficient user of MS Excel & MS PowerPoint
  • Additional experience in MS Project or MS Visio desirable
  • Team player, with the ability to self manage
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Confident, enthusiastic and inquisitive
