About Siemens

As a leading global engineering company, Siemens is behind a diverse range of technologies and services we take for granted in our daily lives across the sectors of Infrastructure & Cities, Energy, Industry and Healthcare – you name it, we’ve probably been involved in it somewhere along the line! We design and manufacture products and systems ranging from traffic lights, wind turbines and superconducting magnets used in medical scanners, through to drives that are behind many of the UK’s manufacturing plants.

Logistics Placement

Siemens Magnet Technology (SMT), based in Eynsham, Oxfordshire is part of the Siemens Healthcare Division and is a world leader in the design and manufacture of superconducting magnets for MRI body scanners. Annually SMT make over 1100 magnets and a third of all MRI systems in the world contain a magnet made there. This means over 17 million patients a year are imaged using magnets made at SMT. SMT is based in Eynsham, 6 miles west of Oxford. This means students typically live in and around Oxford and are able to make the most of all this vibrant city has to offer, including being well connected to London.
