The Role

The Graduate Coordinator will be a key member of the team heavily involved in providing crucial operational and administrational support to the emerging talent recruitment and graduate development team covering a wide range of activities.

Key activities you are likely to work on as Graduate Coordinator include:

  • Campus attraction including management of advertising on university websites and liaising with careers services/academic departments, working with logistics company to ensure materials are ordered/delivered for events and adequate supplies are ordered, representing Centrica on campus, supporting campus ambassadors and competitor research of on campus activities
  • Media management including ensuring that adverts are best placed and liaising with our media agency
  • Social media, ensuring its use is maximised at all opportunities
  • Updating internal CRM database
  • Ad hoc queries

Supporting the Emerging Talent Selection Manager:

  • Ensuring effective communication between selection partner and rest of business including minute taking at weekly calls and distribution of actions/reports
  • Assessment centre co-ordination including preparing assessment centres
  • Post offer process including preparing for pre-employment checks (PEC) and contract generation
  • Engagement strategy ensuring that offers are communicated to on a regular basis and feel part of the business

Supporting the development team:

  • Processing forms to our Central HR department, including follow up actions.
  • Managing our expenses process and mailbox along with our central query mailbox.
  • Becoming a super-user for our internal database (Sharepoint)
  • Support with development events including securing venues, managing attendees, post event surveys and feedback distribution.

The Person

We are looking for a self-starter - happy to work alone and use their initiative on projects and in response to queries.

The successful candidate will be:

  • Penultimate or final year university student from any degree discipline (expecting 2:1 or above)
  • BBB or above at A level including one numerical subject
  • Experience in a leadership role in extra-curricular activity from a sports, drama, debating or appropriate environment
  • Highly motivated and experience in achieving above & beyond expectation
  • Have a strong ability to self-manage
  • Comfortable in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail and organisation and planning
  • Interested in gaining real world work experience in Recruitment/ HR and general business
