The Role

This role supports the activities of the Central HSE team which, in 2015 & 2016, is focused on the launch of key initiatives and their roll out across all manufacturing and non-manufacturing sites in the UK and NE.

Types of activities will include the setting up of suitable systems to support these activities, translation of data into value adding information, providing site support as issues arise and play a key role in the communication of the initiatives. There is an opportunity for the role to be creative and to devise simpler ways of working alongside raising the profile of HSE across the business.

  • Supports the HSE Specialists and Advisor in the launch of HSE initiatives across sites, which includes auditing and inspection processes, investigation methods and procedures, health and safety awareness campaign, accident management, risk assessments and training.
  • Becomes proficient in the use of HSE systems (i.e. Airsweb, QUENSH, Environmental Management System) and Google, and maximises use of these to enable simpler ways of working.
  • Supports the delivery of standardised systems and documentation across all locations (UK & NE), which may require attendance at those sites.
  • Accompanies HSE Team members and takes part in audits and reviews.
  • Follows up on site issues and audit non-conformances to ensure robust close out.
  • Ensures systems provide the necessary evidence to support policies and procedures.
