A&O First
A&O First is an exclusive opportunity for 1st year undergraduate students to explore the career opportunities at Allen & Overy. A&O First begins with a one day insight into life at Allen & Overy and the work you will do as a trainee solicitor. With exclusive access to our graduate recruitment team and opportunities to attend follow-up events, A&O First will give you an ideal foundation when applying for vacation schemes at the start of your second year.
As part of A&O First you will:
- Be paired up with a trainee who you work shadow for an afternoon and who is your go-to buddy for the rest of the programme
- Attend various skills sessions in the office between now and the summer vacation scheme application deadline
- Take part in webinars that develop your understanding of what the career entails, help you with applications and interviews
- Access an online forum and further coaching opportunities
- Network with trainees, associates and partners alike
The application process
To apply, please complete our online application form. Applications close at midnight on Friday 28th February 2015, and while we will screen all applications that we receive, we’d encourage you to submit yours as soon as you can.
There is no assessment centre or interview; candidates will be offered on the strength of their application form.
Insight day dates
30th March, 17th April or 25th June.
The follow up events will be at start of your second year at university.
All travel expenses to and from London will be paid.
