Responsibilities

Working in our Facilities team supporting the Daventry Engine Plant Operations business you will be responsible for several key tasks, these include:

  • Layout development- using process and business flow mapping to develop layout alternatives for approval. Including costing alternatives.
  • Project management-work with Facilities Engineers on layout improvement projects to pre determined time and cost objectives.
  • Input ideas and develop concepts for inclusion in both the capital and expense budgets on the Daventry site.
  • Liaise with and control contractors on the site depending on the scope of works.
  • Keep abreast of current legislation
  • Keep abreast of current good engineering practice and ensure that all works undertaken are to the standards developed prior to work starting
  • Support the ISO 14001enviromental and ISO 50001 energy management accreditation
  • Liaise with external agencies IE Company architect central facilities etc.
  • Ensure that all safety measures as required by corporate and external agencies are compiled with during the course of their work.
  • Support local safety meetings as required.
  • Supporting the departments on key tasks and projects, supporting team members, working both independently and within teams.

Sessions are arranged to provide the opportunity to build relationships and skills as well as give support and guidance. Training provided includes presentation skills, time management and report writing.

Qualifications

Skills and experience required:

  • Working towards a Degree in Business, ideally with a background in Facilities or Maintenance Systems, databases, systems operation and analysis.
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing or commercial environment would be an advantage; particularly within a customer facing / support environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational and time management skills with the ability to work well within a team and use your initiative.
  • Ambition, flexibility and confidence coupled with creativity, imagination and a desire to learn; and a willingness to take on responsibility.
