Internship Vacancy at PwC

If you’re in your penultimate year, build your skills and confidence by working alongside specialists in your chosen business area for six weeks during the summer. You could also be in the final year of an undergraduate degree with a one year postgraduate degree place confirmed. Either way, you could go back to university with a firm graduate job offer.

On our summer internship programme, you’ll experience work and life at PwC, and gain a valuable insight into our business and culture. We have a limited number of internship opportunities in the same business areas as our graduate training programmes:

• Consulting
• Tax
• Financial Advisory
• Actuarial

Whichever business area you choose, you'll get a real taste of life at the heart of the firm, working alongside graduate trainees and experienced professionals on live and interesting client projects.

Our internships run from the end of June or beginning of August for six weeks at PwC offices across the UK.

About you

You'll need to be a penultimate-year undergraduate with a 300 UCAS tariff or equivalent (or, for Strategy Consulting, a 340 UCAS tariff) who's on course for a 2:1.

It doesn't matter what degree you're studying for – in fact most of our business areas accept students from any discipline. But you must have a good academic record and be able to show how you've used your initiative and team-working skills before and at university. You’ll also need to have researched your chosen business area thoroughly, showing you’re genuinely committed to that career path.

What you'll gain

As an intern, you'll enjoy much the same experience and opportunities as our full-time graduate recruits, and get exposure to a wide range of work and clients. And throughout, you’ll make a valuable contribution.

But you won't be thrown in at the deep end. After a residential training programme, where you'll meet all our other interns, you'll benefit from general and specific technical training that’ll give you all the skills you'll need for your internship.

It'll be steep learning curve and you'll certainly feel stretched – but you’ll also have all the support you need. As well as a 'buddy' – someone who's 'been there, done that' on the programme before – to answer your questions, you’ll have regular feedback on your performance.

Our summer internships give you a real-life view of what a graduate career with PwC would be like. You'll find out first-hand if this is the career for you. If it is – and you perform well – you could go back to university with a graduate job offer. And you’ll certainly raise your commercial awareness and interpersonal skills to new levels. By experiencing life inside the world's leading professional services firm, you'll develop many new skills and qualities that will be valuable whatever you choose to do.

There might be a chance to pick up some international experience in an overseas practice and you could even go back to university with a firm graduate job offer.
