Duties and Responsibilities

To support product development across the Non Food categories and specifically some of the key own label new launches in new categories within Non Food. To assist with administration and support for key own label brand launches and project work to agreed deadlines.

Job Requirements

  • To assist with Non Food Product development through support and development on new category launches and initiatives
  • Deliver and shape Non Food briefs through market research , insights and trend development
  • Co-ordination and management of briefs and samples as required
  • Work closely with Product Developers to support key project initiatives through necessary administration support
  • Work with key stakeholders across insights and commercial teams as appropriate, to provide accurate and relevant market data which the non food team can use to develop and shape product briefs
  • Trend research and support to assist with Trends across Food and Non Food to help shape the Trend vision for Waitrose
  • Work closely within the wider Brand team to build knowledge and understanding of the Waitrose NPD across food and non food
  • Support the development of a high performing team by efficiently coordinating team meetings, presentations and resources

The minimum application requirements are as follows:

  • 300 UCAS points (or equivalent) from top 3 A Levels, not including General Studies or AS levels.
  • To be on track for a 2.1 at degree level.

Please note for Industrial Placements positions, students can apply during the second year of their degree to undertake a placement within the penultimate year of their degree
