What this placement is about

We have 12-month placements available in both consulting and technology. This is an opportunity for you to get to know us, while building your skills and knowledge working on live projects, experiencing live challenges and playing your part in delivering solutions.

Consulting placements

You’ll start off with a week’s induction in London. By the end of it, you’ll know a bit more about how we tick and be able to put that knowledge to work on a live project, somewhere in the UK. From testing software to undertaking research, you’ll find yourself building your skills across different areas. And, with two appraisals during your placement, we will make sure you get the most out of your experience.

Technology placements

This 12-month placement is perfect for would-be Software Engineers and takes place during the third year of your four-year course. Gaining hands-on experience in live development environments, you’ll get the chance to work on many different projects from development to deployment while building skills in testing and technologies such as SAP, Oracle, Java/J2EE, C#, BEA Weblogic. You may even gain ICTTech certification while you’re at it.

What we’re looking for

The Technology placement is undertaken in the third year of a four-year course and you will need to apply in your second year. To apply, you’ll need 240 UCAS points and a predicted 2:1 in computer science, technology, maths, science or an engineering-related degree. An interest in business focused IT is also vital.

For the Consulting placement, you’ll need to be a second-year undergraduate studying a technical or business-related degree that offers the option of an industrial placement. You’ll also need 340 UCAS points at A-level in your top three A-levels (that's AAB, excluding General Studies) and be expecting to obtain at least a 2:1 degree or equivalent

These placements are usually based in London. However, we may ask you to work in other UK locations, so flexibility and mobility are essential.
