ESPN PR Internship

The team

If your passion is for sport you’ll know that ESPN is the leading sports network in the world, with premier performances and out-of-this-world technology. The PR & Communication Team is responsible for creating integrated digital marketing strategies and servicing & co-ordinating the digital efforts in local Disney markets on behalf of the ESPN. The PR team aims to bring one voice to digital marketing (Search, online advertising, Social media) and bought media (money spent on securing TV ads, space in newspapers, radio ads) across ESPN.

Your role

You’ll be liaising with UK and European Comms groups, as well as third parties and media. You’ll have responsibility for post and newspapers and maintaining calendar of events relevant to the PR community. You’ll manage ad-hoc projects including the creation of documents, liaising with suppliers on research, mail-outs, etc. You’ll deal with both internal and external enquiries on behalf of the senior management team, offering advice and solutions wherever possible. You’ll also be providing administrative support for team such as producing ad-hoc PowerPoint presentations, assisting in any PR/ research based project setting up meetings, taking meeting notes etc.

About you

  • MUST be an undergraduate returning to full time education in September 2016
  • MUST have the right to work in the UK
  • Be studying towards a related degree e.g. PR or Marketing etc
  • Demonstrate a strong interest in American sport and sport’s TV and the promotion of them.
  • Demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills / networking.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good at prioritising and a natural ability to tackle various admin duties
