About Centrica

Centrica is a top 30 FTSE 100 company with over 30 million customer accounts, a turnover of £26.6 billion and 37,000 employees worldwide. We want current and future generations to be able to rely on secure energy supplies. So we are making vital investments across the whole energy spectrum – in nuclear and gas-fired power stations, wind farms and liquefied natural gas, as well as in global exploration for new sources of gas. At the same time, we are also working hard to supply cleaner energy.

The Role

British Gas is the UK’s largest energy supplier. Our decisions matter. From making major investments in green technology to securing future gas and electricity supply for British consumers and companies, everything we do has a major impact on the whole nation. We want the country’s most talented thinkers to work with us.

We’re looking for high-calibre undergraduates to join our 10-week Summer Placement Scheme. To win a place on this fast-paced programme, you must be expecting a 2:1 minimum degree in a numerical subject, and combine strong analytical skills with practical commercial acumen.

In return, we offer a unique opportunity to discover how some of the best analysts in the global energy industry are playing a crucial role in every aspect of Britain’s power supply and our commercial success.

At the end of the scheme, you will have a deep understanding of this intellectually demanding and innovative area of the energy industry, and your potential to shape its future.

Requirements

Minimum requirements: 2:1 degree or Masters (with 2:2 degree minimum). You must be in your penultimate or final year of study.

How to Apply

Based on the popularity of this scheme in previous years, we encourage you to apply early.
