What does an engineering industrial placement have to offer?

At GSK we offer a range of exciting engineering placements in the areas of automation engineering, chemical engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and packaging engineering. These are aimed at students who have the skills and experience to add value to our company, as well as the potential to build a long-term career with us.

Our engineering placement programmes will provide you with an in depth understanding of complex manufacturing processes, give you exposure to a wide variety of issues and people, and help you to build skills in working in cross-functional teams. You may work on making improvements to the ways of operating in the factory and creating designs and analysis for how to make the process run more smoothly. Overall the placement is a great opportunity to learn how to make changes through cross functional teams and to apply your engineering skills to real life issues, and see tangible results.

Every year, we spend £3 billion manufacturing products that help people around the world do more, feel better and live longer. If you want to be part of an organisation that places patients at the heart of everything that we do apply to GSK today.

Looking to use your engineering skills in a more business-focused role? We have industrial placements in Communications, Digital Communications, Finance, HR, IT, Procurement, Regulatory Affairs, Sales and Marketing, Science and Supply Chain.
