The Role

The Business Insights and Data Solutions Department is part of the Business and Commercial Operations Business Unit responsible for Market Research, Market Intelligence, analysis, forecasting, performance and implementation monitoring, evaluation and metrics tracking across MSD’s Product Portfolio. We work closely with Marketing and Sales to support the market understanding and effective customer engagement to ensure we focus on emphasising the value of our brands to our customers and, more importantly, patients through a number of different channels. We play a critical role in guiding business decisions and tactical planning.

These roles entail responsibility for the production of MSD and competitor information. They focus specifically on analysis and reporting corporation and product sales, marketing activities, future performance indicators and working closely with Analysts on ad hoc Market analysis. The successful candidates will also get involved in developing effective reporting tools, providing relevant commentary and feedback on observed activity. This will also involve working closely with Sales and Marketing providing opportunities to shadow other roles and responsibilities across these groups.

This provides a superb opportunity to learn about the dynamics of the pharmaceutical industry and the major competitor companies within.
