Job Title: Artwork Designer
Duration: 12 Months. Start date – Summer 2011
Remuneration: £150 per fortnight

Job Description:

This is a fantastic opportunity for any student looking to move on to any role in the future that involves design and artwork manipulation. The role will suit a student looking to gain experience across a wide range of areas within this small up and coming company. There will be a lot of self time management in this new role and you will be vital in outlining the job role over the year.

• You will work on custom visuals for our clients using Photoshop and Illustrator on a daily basis working to short deadlines.
• Assisting in designing visual templates for various products allowing these to be representative of a company looking to appeal to wide variety of clientele from Agencies to Charities.
• Developing a re-creation department within the company allowing us to keep this task in house without jeopardising standards.
• Working with the Operations Manager on an Artwork training program for all new employees to the company.
• You will work hand in hand with the Marketing Department; assisting in design and layouts for various websites and email campaigns, implementing new ideas to have us one step ahead of our competitors.
• Any other ad hoc duties.

Essential requirements:

• Technical skills in Photoshop and Illustrator
• Excellent English
• Have an interest in small business
• Ability to work professionally, quickly & accurately whilst under pressure
• Ability to communicate with accuracy & clarity in both verbal & written English

Desirable attributes:

• Previous experience in a commercial office/business environment would be an advantage
• HTML, Fireworks, Flash and Dreamweaver

The successful candidate will work in a relaxed semi-formal office environment. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 9.00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Remuneration details:

• Accommodation in a 4 bedroom shared house is provided. You will be living with no more than 3 other students whom will also be on internships within the company.
• All bills, including your travel to and from work, are paid for by the company.
• Secure wireless internet is provided at each house.
• An allowance of £150 per fortnight is paid to cover subsistence.
