Product Support Intern 2015 (8 weeks)

We’re looking for a product support intern to help us deliver fantastic customer service to Red Gate’s software users. As a fully-fledged member of the support team, you’ll see how Red Gate works with its customers. You’ll learn about a range of technologies and how our users get the best from them.

Not only will you see the team in action, but with support and guidance from a dedicated mentor, you’ll be involved in a project to help our customers. Using your fresh insight, we’ll come up with a project together that best fits your skills and your interests; whether that be communicating technical information, or getting your hands on some tech.

Not only can you expect to work closely with the support team, but you’ll also work with those responsible for developing our world class software; developers, testers, user experience designers and technical authors.

  • You have a real passion for software and technology.
  • You’re at least a year into your university degree, studying a relevant discipline.
  • You understand technical concepts and can communicate/present them effectively, both in writing and verbally.
  • You’re an excellent problem solver.
  • You have an appreciation of great customer service.
  • You have exceptional organisational skills.
  • You’re self-motivated and committed to seeing a project through to completion.
  • You have the confidence to express your own ideas, and to own a project.
  • You enjoy working with people, and understand the importance of teamwork.

What would help?

  • A good knowledge of coding (C# and Java) or databases (SQL or Oracle).
  • Some customer service experience.

What’s the package?

  • You’ll be working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexible hours.
  • You’ll start in June or July.
  • You’ll receive £380 per week.
