About E.ON

E.ON is one of the world’s largest power and gas companies. We provide electricity and gas to 40 million customers – over five million of them here in the UK. It’s incredibly complex work. Yet our vision is a simple one: we want to be the trusted energy partner for our customers.

About the role

Working as part of a team, you'll help to make sure our power generation sites are running safely and efficiently, right across our European fleet. Put simply, you'll make sure the lights really do stay on - and on a very wide scale. Using software coding (don't worry, we'll give you on-the-job training), you'll work closely with our operational engineers as they define their software requirements. While the software is being developed, you'll test data to confirm whether it delivers an instant commercial benefit.

To join us, you should be working towards a degree in Physics, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering. You've got strong mathematical and analytical skills, and a keen interest in the energy and engineering sector. If you're also great at project management, and an excellent communicator to boot, this could be the role for you. In return, you'll learn all about this specialist area through your own structured development plan - where you'll have a chance to deliver real commercial value.
