About E.ON

E.ON is one of the world’s largest power and gas companies. We provide electricity and gas to 40 million customers – over five million of them here in the UK. It’s incredibly complex work. Yet our vision is a simple one: we want to be the trusted energy partner for our customers.

About the role

In this role you will help our team to ensure the safe operation and reliability of our power plants. You'll play an integral role in the smooth running of our business as you assist in key inspections of the power plants when they're offline, analyse the integrity of components, and make critical recommendations to your customers.

To join us in this area you should be working towards a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Physics or Maths. You should be comfortable with working at heights or in confined spaces. Excellent attention to detail is critical for when you're both making inspections onsite and producing reports and recommendations afterwards. An investigative mindset will be useful when it comes to carrying out root cause analysis of degradation or failure. In return, you'll get lots of technical development on the job and first hand experience of this part of our business.
