The Commercial Management internship scheme will give you a practical introduction to the management and operation of an investment firm, while providing exposure to a range of challenging business experiences. The scheme allows students to experience our Operations teams by joining one of the following areas; Business Strategy, Equities Operations, Fixed Income Operations, Investment Marketing, Performance & Risk Analytics, Corporate Communications, Global Sales, Marketing, Product Development, Retail Change & Operations and Strategic Planning.

The scheme is designed to develop individuals who can lead and manage our complex business units and functions, which play a crucial role in ensuring that we are able to capitalise on the strength of our investment capability. We are looking for individuals who are excited about delivering commercial success by applying a combination of analysis, strategic thinking, relationship management and leadership skills. This scheme will suit graduates who have a commercial mind-set and want to gain an in-depth understanding of how a dynamic business works in order to take up a future leadership role.

Please note that the Commercial Management scheme does not include any investment rotations or any roles which would include analysing a security or providing an investment recommendation.

What is different about a Commercial Management internship at M&G?

All interns go through a comprehensive training programme which includes workshops on asset management and M&G. These are mostly arranged for the first week of the internship and are designed to be suitable for those with and without industry knowledge. You will gain an understanding of the whole spectrum of business areas within M&G further informing your post-university career choices. You will also receive a competitive salary throughout your time at M&G.

Who are we looking for?

The Commercial Management internship scheme is open to candidates who have strong academics, minimum 300 UCAS points and possess, or be on track for a 2:1 undergraduate degree or higher, from any discipline.

All of our 2015 internship programmes will commence on the 22nd June and finish on the 14th August. We accept applications from penultimate year students only for our internship programmes.
