To encourage our long term success, we have approximately 25 student placement opportunities each year in Derbyshire and Manchester in the following areas:

Chemistry – We have 15 opportunities available across several functions including Chemical Synthesis, Applied Sciences, Blend Test Services and Performance Coatings. As a Chemistry undergraduate, you’ll work alongside diverse and innovative scientists in purpose built laboratories at our sites in Hazelwood or Blackley.

Engineering – Lubrizol is one of the world’s largest lubricant and fuel additive providers, developing fluid technology solutions for leading oil companies and OEMs such as BP and Daimler. During an Engineering placement, you will use your Engineering knowledge, creativity and problem solving skills to provide a high quality testing service vital to Lubrizol’s success.

Business – As a business or marketing student, you’ll kick start your career in a highly professional environment. If you choose our procurement placement, you could be supporting the purchasing process, working with internal customers and external suppliers. Alternatively, you could choose a business support role in which you’ll be involved in commercial activities supporting new and existing products in the marketplace, liaising with colleagues in different worldwide locations.

Information Technology – Working in our Information Solutions department in Derbyshire, you’ll be part of a Global Service Desk supporting the companies computing needs through daily technical support. Alternatively, you could be based in our Applications Development team, supporting existing applications and developing your own business solutions.

Be essential

If you are working towards a degree in one of the above areas, we’d love to hear from you. You should have a keen interest in your subject and be able to demonstrate this outside of your degree. In return, Lubrizol offer a great benefits package including some of the following:
