Six different internship schemes, one amazing destination
There’s nowhere quite like Heathrow Airport. This is a city within a city, where thousands of people work together to make every journey better for 70 million passengers a year. As a major international airport, we play an important role in supporting the UK economy. And as the UK’s largest single site employer, we’re at the heart of the local community too. In fact, almost half of the people employed at Heathrow live nearby and we have a very active corporate social responsibility programme – for example, one of the key aims of our Heathrow Academy is to help local people find employment.
The Role
Student internships in Commercial, HR, Finance, Heathrow Express, Corporate Affairs (Public Policy) or IT – starting October 2014

You’ll find that we have a huge range of opportunities here, from Communications to Compliance and from SME Finance to Security. Whichever internship you choose, you’ll get some great insights into the whole of our organisation and you’ll be learning from people who are experts in their fields. We’ll even give you the chance to move into a different function if that’s where your interests most lie.
Our internships last between eight and 12 months (they all start on 6 October 2014, but we’re flexible about the end date). And when your programme comes to an end, the opportunities won’t. If you do well with us, there’s every chance that it could land you a place on our graduate scheme. From there, who knows where we could take you?
It’s a really exciting time to be part of our organisation. The phased rollout of the brand new T2 is continuing apace.
As you’d expect, the pace of life here is fast – very fast, so we’re looking for people who are inquisitive, full of initiative and happy to throw themselves into new challenges.
