The Role

Our flagship project, the Crystal, will showcase sustainability at its very best. Pioneering sustainability innovation, the Crystal is a state-of-the-art visitor attraction and global knowledge hub based in the Docklands. This iconic building – one of the capital’s greenest – will demonstrate how the latest infrastructure technology can make the world’s cities better places to live and work. The megatrends urbanization, climate change, globalization and demographic change will shape the future of cities. With the need to improve the quality of life and economic competitiveness, cities have to become more resource-efficient and environmentally friendly.

Technologies are major levers and base for further sustainable city development. The complexity involved requires a holistic view and sustainable solutions for cities. Siemens has the portfolio, know-how, and consulting expertise to make cities more liveable, competitive, and sustainable. It has set up its Global Cities Center of Competence (CY CoC) in London, hosted in the Crystal. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is committed to delivering high quality work as part of a team.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

  • You must be studying, or have studied a business administration related subject and be able to start with us soon and continue working with us for the full 6 months
  • You must have a keen interest in Urban Development and sustainable technologies.
  • You must have a keen eye for detail
  • Intermediate –advanced skills level of Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Excellent communication and networking skills.

What are my responsibilities?

  • Support the organisation of City Account Management (CiAM) In Person Training Events and Conferences
  • Assisting in the production of internal and external success stories
  • Assisting in the production of power point presentations
  • Desk top searches of sustainable city sales relevant topics
  • To provide administrative support for the CiAM Development Team when needed
  • Screening City Relevant Databases
  • Extracting City Relevant Data
  • Prepare Market Evaluations
