Your time here

You’ll shadow our multi-skilled Engineers. You’ll see how we turn good ideas into mass production processes, react quickly to problems and plan and implement new equipment. You’ll play a part in bringing the Toyota Production System to life – perhaps refining a technical process or assessing the environmental impact of a production change. Previous Engineering IP students’ projects include:

• Researching a new solvent to stop production problems with a certain rubber hose – “it’s still in use today”
• Analysing the elements in our engine production line to help improve TAKT – the rate at which engines come of the production line
• Reducing plastics shop compressed air usage by 10%
• Creating a power installation standard

The IP is a great chance for inquisitive engineers to sharpen their skills. Impress us and you could be invited back onto our graduate programme.
