The roles at We Brand It require highly organised, motivated individuals who have an exceptional eye for detail.

This is a superb opportunity for someone who wants to apply and develop their web site programming skills in a real, working environment. You will be involved in many aspects of creating and maintaining a number of company web sites (we have several product-focussed sites), often from scratch. A major part of the role will be creating dynamic sites from a flat design which will involve working with a 3rd party designer to ensure functionality and consistency of site design.

Working directly with the Web Development Team you will:

  • Create dynamic, interactive web sites from flat design files
  • Develop front and back-end functionality to improve customer experience
  • Create HTML-based emails for marketing purposes
  • Learn to use 3rd party design and development tools
  • Learn how to integrate various web technologies together such as Flash and JavasScript
  • Adapt and expand your existing skills

Essential requirements:

  • Good understanding of front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery
  • Experience of scripting and custom function writing
  • Ability to write cross-browser compatible code from scratch as well as utilising existing libraries
  • Ability to research and learn new languages, techniques, and methods when necessary
  • Ability to work professionally, quickly & accurately whilst under pressure
  • Ability to communicate with accuracy & clarity in both verbal & written English
  • Windows and/or Linux OS

Desirable attributes:

  • Experience of back-end technologies, especially PHP, Apache and MySQL
  • Use and implementation of AJAX, XML, XHTML, HTML5 etc
  • Use of graphics tools such as Photoshop/Fireworks
  • Knowledge of other development languages, especially ActionScript 3.0 or other OOP-based languages

Remuneration details:

  • Accommodation in a 4 bedroom shared house is provided. You will be living with no more than 3 other students whom will also be on internships within the company.
  • All bills, including your travel to and from work, are paid for by the company.
  • Secure wireless internet is provided at each house.
  • An allowance of £150 per fortnight is paid to cover subsistence.

The successful candidate will work in a relaxed semi-formal office environment.
Office hours are Monday to Friday, 9.00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
