The Vertex Summer Internship Program offers students the opportunity to learn about the pharmaceutical industry from a hands-on perspective. The ultimate goal of DMPK is to predict the safe efficacious dose of a drug in man and a variety of approaches can be employed.

Responsibilities

As an intern in the DMPK team, you will be working on a project with the aim to generate a database of literature and in house values for a selection of marketed drugs that are used in the validation process. The project will involve searching the literature to obtain key parameters for these drugs. These values will then populate a database along with values generated in house.

Requirements

• Applicants must be enrolled at University and have at least finished two years of a Bachelors Degree within a science discipline, preferably Chemistry.
• Expecting at least a 2:2 level degree
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• IT literate
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Eligible to work in the UK
• A desire to be part of a highly innovative company aimed at transforming the lives of people with serious diseases, their families and society
