The Vertex Summer Internship Program offers students the opportunity to learn about the pharmaceutical industry from a hands-on perspective. Our Finance department is seeking a motivated student, interested in gaining experience within a European Financial Shared Service Centre in an international pharmaceutical setting. As an intern in Finance team you will be supporting the delivery of joint projects whilst developing practical accounting knowledge.

Job Responsibilities
  • Work across the different teams at the European Shared services centre, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Revenue
  • Create sharepoint sites for EFSSC, co-ordinating the needs of the sub-teams
  • Participate in the cash reconciliation process for the European entities
  • Participate in the month-end process as required
  • Support in other ad-hoc administrative tasks
Requirements
  • Applicants must be enrolled at University and have at least finished two years of a Bachelors Degree, preferably in a Business or Finance related subject
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Eligible to work in the UK
