About Frontier
Frontier was established in 1989 as a non-profit conservation and development non-governmental organisation (NGO) dedicated to safeguarding biodiversity and ecosystem integrity and building sustainable livelihoods for marginalised communities in the world's poorest countries. Our first projects were in Tanzania, one of the world's poorest countries. Carrying out groundbreaking surveys in remote forest, savannah, and marine environments, our dedicated teams of volunteers set about building a comprehensive picture of areas that were heretofore ignored, despite being, as we discovered, among the most biodiverse areas in the world.
Roles Available
A journalism internship abroad is a fantastic way to learn more about a new culture and gain valuable work experience to help you start a career in the media industry. It will mean you return home with something to put you above other applicants for a university place or job. By shadowing and learning directly from professionals, you will develop your own skills and interests, alongside getting a really in depth insight into the organisation you work with.
As well as gaining useful work experience, you will also be contributing to a wider community, by promoting tourism in Nepal, working to protect and publicise human rights in Argentina or working at a newspaper in exotic Fiji.
