Responsibilities

Working in our Facilities team supporting the Huddersfield Plant Operations of Cummins Turbo Technology business you will be responsible for several key tasks, these include:

  • Providing first line support to the key applications used within the business, including fixing any problems/issues arising in the Facilities function,
  • Conducts day-to-day operations to deliver a standardized approach to the site buildings and the infrastructure,
  • Supports project work and day-to-day administration,
  • Helps Design process and solutions for business improvements projects,
  • Helps with changes, where necessary to Develop the team and third party vendors,
  • Understanding new business requirements & support improvement,
  • Communicates with the business and provides training where applicable,
  • Sourcing information, interpreting, developing and implementing achieving results to agreed deadlines,
  • Supporting the departments on key tasks and projects, supporting team members, working both independently and within teams.
TRAINING PROVIDED:
  • A comprehensive induction programme; including in-house training,
  • The opportunity to develop your skills both personally and professionally through regular reviews with your line manager, identifying and supporting any areas, which require further development,
  • Cummins Turbo Technologies offer a comprehensive graduate development scheme, employing a number of graduates each year in a variety of disciplines. Sessions are arranged to provide the opportunity to build relationships and skills as well as give support and guidance. Training provided includes presentation skills, time management and report writing.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • Working towards a Degree in Business, ideally with a background in Facilities or Maintenance Systems, databases, systems operation and analysis,
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing or commercial environment would be an advantage; particularly within a customer facing / support environment,
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational and time management skills with the ability to work well within a team and use your initiative, and
  • Ambition, flexibility and confidence coupled with creativity, imagination and a desire to learn; and a willingness to take on responsibility.

You will be provided with a structured training plan consisting of corporate training programmes, product awareness and any technical requirements. Bursaries are offered to the most outstanding Placement students. Are you ready to face new challenges, be given new opportunities, learn new skills?
