We run an exciting 12 month placement. Informal training, and work on projects that add true value to the business. The placement scheme is a great place to start a career with Cummins and you will experience not only the skills and work aspect, but the culture and core values of the business. You'll provide day-to-day support in the areas of: organizational assessment, development and effectiveness; compensation and benefits; conflict resolution; and team-based work system processes. You'll also facilitate all major Cummins Human Resources processes with operations, support and engineering customer groups.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all HR related purchase orders (on boarding materials, training, new starter clothing orders).
  • Support coordination of recruitment on site.
  • Site point of contact for Time and Attendance System.
  • Coordinate CES Darlington payroll and HR systems.
  • Maintain headcount report and training records.
  • Update notice boards and send out employee emails.
  • Organise Inductions for new starters - functional / HR and H&S.
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyse data.
  • Organise Service Award ceremonies.
  • Issue references on request (Visa, relocation).
  • Support office development projects.
  • Coordinate volunteering events for site.
  • Take notes and minutes in meetings for HR .
  • Lead the Apprenticeship process of the site including coordination of recruitment processes.
  • Organise and monitor development processes and performance management.
  • Use spreadsheets to track and calculate data.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • Working towards a Human Resources or Business Related degree is essential (2nd Year Completed).
  • Strong Verbal and Written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint).
  • Excellent Time Management, Problem-Solving and Teamwork Skills required.
