We run an exciting 12 month placement where you are given an opportunity to work on real projects making a difference in your team and the company as a whole.

Working under the guidance of a mentor within the Finance Department the student will be involved with assisting in monthly reporting, budgeting and forecasting processes; active support and interaction with Operations.

To be eligible for our 12 month work placement you must be a university student who has a placement year option as part of their degree programme. You will spend a year in a specific department to gain real experience in your subject area. You are supported by formal and informal training, and work on projects that add true value to the business. As part of the programme, you have the opportunity to be involved in our bursary scheme, which recognises those placements who have contributed significantly to the performance of the company both on improvement initiatives and their overall performance during the course of their placement assignment. The winners go back to university with a bursary award to spend. The placement scheme is a great place to start a career. With Cummins, you will experience not only the skills and work aspect, but also the culture and core values of the business.

You'll provide financial and business analysis support, as well as prepare journal entries for month-end close. You'll conduct monthly reconciliations of balance-sheet accounts and maintain internal control documentation (Sarbanes-Oxley).
