Placement Year Vacancy at EC Harris

Are you an undergraduate who’s keen to experience life in a professional services consultancy? EC Harris provides solutions to leading organisations through the management of the construction and operation of built assets. We’ve recently worked on projects such as Heathrow T5, Heathrow Pan-European rebranding for Nissan Infinti, Aintree East, The Emirates Stadium, Ascot Race Courses and Atlantis Hotel, Palm Island, Dubai, to name just a few.

A Year Out or a Summer Placement with the firm will provide an ideal platform for your early professional and personal development, with every support to help you begin a successful and rewarding career.

A Year Out (in the third year of your sandwich degree) will give you the chance to be involved in real projects across our key sectors. From the outset, you’ll be applying your knowledge and incorporating this with continuous learning from our innovative practices. You’ll also gain the skills and experience to start working towards your Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) or equivalent qualification, as well as attending in-house training sessions. A counsellor and supervisor will be on hand to guide you. Depending on your performance, we might be able to sponsor your final year at university and offer you a graduate position once you finish your degree.

Alternatively, you could take a Summer Placement. Spending 6-12 weeks with us over the summer is a great way to pick up hands-on experience. You'll gain broad knowledge and an understanding of your future career prospects, as well as having a great time with the team. If it all goes well, there is the opportunity for either a future placement or final year sponsorship and a graduate job offer.

It would be useful if you are studying for a degree in Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying or Project Management, although we encourage applications from candidates from other disciplines.
