Cancer Research UK pioneers life-saving research to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. We’re the world’s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving lives through research, and our work into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer has meant our scientists have contributed to most of the world’s top cancer drugs and therapies. We don’t just do research, we work in partnership with others to achieve the greatest impact in the global fight against cancer; through life-changing information, awareness and early detection initiatives and through campaigning to keep cancer at the top of the political agenda.

About our Internships

This September, Cancer Research UK is offering over 40 internships to high-calibre individuals looking to gain work experience in the fields of fundraising, marketing, communications, campaigning and more. In the past, Cancer Research UK interns have done everything from supporting large-scale fundraising events to relationship building with major donors: from championing our campaigns at events for MPs to creating scientific resources for the health sector. Our 3 month long internships are projects delivering over and above the work we already do, meaning that every hour our interns give, brings us one step closer to beating cancer.

Whether you’re a graduate or undergraduate, or looking for a career change, you can develop your skills at one of the UK’s leading charities and make your progress, our progress. Whatever project you take on, you’ll have a dedicated intern manager who will support you through your projects and personal development. Although the internships are voluntary placements and therefore unpaid, travel and lunch expenses will be reimbursed. We will also provide you with training to enhance your own personal development, as well as advice on how to get a job within the charity sector.
