Student Placement Opportunities

12 Month Placements:

Many universities offer sandwich courses that include a 12 month industry placement after two years of study. As a student this allows you to put your learning into practice within industry. At George, we're committed to developing talent and skills within education. So, we offer a number of paid student placements each year, starting in July each year, in such areas as Buying, Design, Merchandising, Garment Technology and Branch Merchandising within Supply Chain.

Join us on a student placement and not only will you gain invaluable knowledge and experience, you'll contribute to our success from day one. As a valued member of the team, you'll learn how the industry works and get the chance to be involved in everything from fashion shows to inspirational trips. It's a great opportunity to experience what it's like to be an Assistant at George first hand and to see whether the George and ASDA culture is right for you.

Work Experience - 1-2 week duration

Is the fashion industry for you? What career path should you choose? How do you develop the skills and experience you need to get your dream job?

Work experience is an ideal way to give you a head start and learn how the industry works. If you're interested in a role in Fashion Retail, at George you'll gain valuable experience in your chosen area.

As we're passionate about helping to develop the talent of the future, we offer many opportunities to join the different teams at George House throughout the year. We provide work experience placements in areas such as Buying, Design, Merchandising, Garment Technology and Supply chain. We also offer a limited number of work experience placements at our London Design Studio on Carnaby Street.

Join us and you'll be given the chance to make a real contribution. You'll gain practical experience and a real insight into what it's like to be a George Assistant. You'll also live the unique George and ASDA culture and see if it's right for you. Whilst you won't get paid, the experience you'll gain will be priceless.
