Deutsche Bank Internship Programme - Human Resources

Our people are at the core of our business. The high level of service we give our clients and stakeholders depends on the quality and integrity of the people we have working for us. Our Human Resources division provides the resources that enable us to attract the best candidates from around the world and motivate, develop and advance our people and their careers.

Your training

It all starts with an introduction to the world of Deutsche Bank and the technical and soft-skills you’ll need to make an impact. Your training will continue throughout the summer as you work on live projects, learning first-hand how Deutsche Bank delivers for our clients. Throughout your time with us, you’ll network widely with your exceptionally talented colleagues through events ranging from community action teamwork days to a speaker series held by our thought leaders. And because our internships are a rich source of talent for the Deutsche Bank Graduate Programme, this could be an opportunity to launch a career with us.

Your programme

Throughout your internship, you’ll explore the full spectrum of our people strategy and receive a solid grounding in our global employee products and services. This may include working in one of our product specialist groups such as Talent Acquisition, Reward, Employee Relations or Talent & Development. It could also entail broad-reaching exposure in a Business Partner/HR Advisory function or our Chief Operating Office. Through this generalist programme, you’ll network with a wide range of colleagues and personalities throughout our Bank.

The skills you'll need

Alongside interpersonal abilities, you’ll hone several transferable skills that are important for your career development. We find the most vital skill for all HR professionals is a fundamental understanding of the business sector in which they work. This is especially true of the financial industry, where company culture and values are greatly significant – so you’ll need to have some familiarity with the world of finance. Working in HR requires superior judgement, client focus, a proactive approach, and teamwork – and we’ll help you develop your skills in this area further. Dealing with a wide range of people and needs will advance your negotiation and persuasion skills, too, so you'll be ready to handle many different situations. Finally, as working closely with people from all around the world is normal practice, we'll expect you to build on your appreciation of diverse global cultures.

Deutsche Bank is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or protected veteran status (US).

Applications for all divisions are reviewed on a rolling basis. Please refer to the website for further information and programme details.
