About The Internship

This eight-week summer internship offers students in their penultimate year of university the opportunity to gain first-hand experience in the foundations of Commercial Banking, supporting either our relationship managers or product teams.

What To Expect

Over the course of the internship, you’ll take on a role in one of our Business Banking or Commercial Banking centres, supporting either our relationship managers or product teams. You’ll gain first-hand experience of how we provide solutions to our customers to support their growth. This will see you taking on a hands-on, customer-facing role alongside experienced managers and colleagues and a diverse network of peers. Your team will value your contribution, and encourage you to take on responsibility and bring new ideas to the table. You’ll learn about the foundations of Commercial Banking and understand customer satisfaction.

What You'll Need

To be considered for the internship you will be a student who:

• Demonstrates our values – open, dependable and connected – in your daily work
• Is a second-year student on a three-year course, or a third-year student if you are on a four-year course (any discipline is acceptable)
• Is on course to achieve a minimum upper second-class honours degree or 3.0 GPA
• Is fluent in business English
• Has a strong interest in the Commercial Banking sector
• Has a global outlook
• Has the highest standards of behaviour
• Is willing to progress onto the Commercial Banking Global Graduate Programme on completion of your degree
• Is available to participate in the internship in July and August 2016

Benefits

You will be paid throughout your internship a salary that equates to £19,500 pro rata.

Eligibility requirements: On track for a minimum upper second-class degree, and have 300 UCAS points (or equivalent excluding General Studies)
