We're looking for a Placement Student to join in the Sipsmith team and take charge of sharing our mission with the spirit sippers everywhere, overseeing our award-winning gin and sipping experiences and leading a team of Ambassadors as we take the brand out and about throughout the year.

About the role

A once in a lifetime opportunity: a Year in Industry Placement in a highly successful entrepreneurial team working for one of the best gin brands in the world. In charge of sharing our mission with the spirit sippers everywhere, you’ll be overseeing Sipsmith’s award-winning sipping experiences and leading a team of Ambassadors as we take the brand out and about throughout the year.

Based at the Sipsmith Distillery when it’s not Festival Season, you’ll leave with a glittering CV that includes genuine leadership, management and delivery in a truly entrepreneurial environment – not to mention some mean drink mixing skills. Not for the faint hearted or stuck-for-conversation type, this role requires someone who is the embodiment of fun, flair and fortitude: a swan amongst ducks, if you will. You'll only get at Sipsmith

Access to all part of the business: there are no private offices, line management chains or big business behaviour here – with a team of 20 you’ll get access to all parts of Sipsmith team, spending some time with each, and really understand how businesses work.

You’ll hit the ground running on your first day, in a very fast paced an entrepreneurial environment - geared up to run your own bit of the business from day one. Undoubtedly one of the most fun work-places in London, complete with bar, G&T trolley and 3 copper ladies... Let alone your monthly gin allowance.

Learn your throwing from your stirring and shaking – and when best to do each – the difference between a red snapper and a Mojito and how to make the perfect cocktail, from one of the best gin brands in the world… not a bad CV point.

Responsibilities

Grow love for the Sipsmith brand through your Ambassadorial excellence: including Distillery Tours, Tasting evenings, Samplings… sharing your gin connoisseurship with our guests

Event and Experience Planning: from logistics to Gant charts, you’ll own all things organisation

On-Site Execution; from being guardian of the small details, through to real world problem solving – you’ll be the person in charge on the day. (N.B. All applicants must have a full and sparkling clean drivers licence)

People Management and Leadership: Leading and motivating a team of ambassadors through peak season and on site
