Customer Service Internship Programme Placement Opportunity

Our Customer Service Intern Placement Programme is first-class. When it comes to giving placement students a real insight into working in a large global manufacturing business, the programme provides on the job learning in preparation for a professional career.

Whilst on placement as a Customer Service Intern at Eaton, you will gain an understanding of the various aspects within the role. With a focus on customer satisfaction, you will expand your knowledge of communicating with a wide range of customers worldwide. You will learn how to adapt efficiently to numerous customer demands, subsequently creating and maintaining positive relationships. From day one you will be mentored by highly skilled Customer Service professionals who will guide and support you to ensure you receive the maximum learning from your placement year.

Key Elements

When you join our Internship Programme, you will receive a specific Job Description detailing your key responsibilities, tasks, objectives and projects to focus on during your placement year will be detailed. As a guide, you can expect that your job role will be made up of the following key elements:

Day-to-Day:

You will undertake a variety of day-to-day administrative and functional tasks. Accurate completion of these duties will be key to the department.

Projects:

In addition, each Intern gets involved in between 2 - 5 projects (based on complexity and duration) throughout the 12 month duration. These projects will be predominantly based on the chosen function, but will usually involve other departments and require cross-functional collaboration and communication, giving a broader insight into how the company runs beyond one specific field.

Learning & Development:

A number of formal training sessions which will include functional and technical skills training, core business skills and relevant IT courses are held within the Internship.

Qualifications

Ambition, enthusiasm and tenacity are some of the key qualities we are looking for in our placement students. As an Eaton Intern we want you to be confident in your ability to communicate effectively, willing to grow and learn throughout the year and possess a ‘can do’ attitude towards challenges and experiences.

Candidates should ideally be undergraduates working towards a minimum 2:1 degree, and studying in a related discipline. As our placements are based in multiple locations across the UK you must be geographically flexible. You must have legal authorization to work in the United Kingdom without company sponsorship.
