At Lidl, we’ve applied the same game-changing thinking to our award-winning, 48-week Placement Programme as we have to create the new face of supermarket retailing. This bespoke programme lets you choose the areas of the business that interest you most: Sales, Logistics, Property, Administration or Supply Chain. As well as getting to know our business, you’ll get to develop yourself.

So if you’re an undergraduate in your penultimate year of studying and looking for a way into retail, this is definitely a step in the right direction. You could currently be specialising in Business or Retail Management at university. Or you could be studying for a completely different degree. It doesn’t matter. It’s you we’re interested in – the kind of no-nonsense, common-sense, quick-on-the-uptake, get-the-job-done person we need.

Your profile

• The passion to undertake a placement which will challenge you, and a enable you to put into practice the theory that you’ve learnt at university
• Enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn and develop yourself within a professional environment
• Confidence, and the determination to succeed, even when faced with difficult situations
• To be studying towards, and on course for a 2:1 degree, in any discipline
• A driving license and full access to a car.
• To live/be able to live within a reasonable commute to your place of work
