Vacation Schemes
We run three, two week Vacation Schemes throughout the summer. Aimed at penultimate year students of all disciplines, you’ll get to experience what a career at Clifford Chance involves. You'll gain genuine insights into our exciting, stimulating and challenging work. You'll work with lawyers experienced in one of our practice areas. You'll also have the support of a supervising lawyer and a trainee 'buddy' who you can turn to at any stage.
They will see you undertaking real work and interacting with people at every level of our business as well as team building socials and networking opportunities with lawyers from all over the firm. You'll experience the unique atmosphere of our Canary Wharf offices, and you'll receive a £400 a week salary. These schemes are aimed at students in their penultimate year of study, in any degree discipline.

- VS1 – 20th June – 1st July
- VS2 – 4th July – 15th July
- VS3 – 18th July – 29th July
January TC Assessment Days
This January, we will be holding assessments for our training contracts in law. Open to penultimate year lawyers, they’ll allow you to secure one of our prestigious contracts ahead of the pack, giving you the flexibility to choose how you spend the summer of your final year, whilst having the security of an amazing job offer with our firm. We have sought to give you every opportunity to devise your own route to a Training Contract according to your needs. So in short, you can opt to apply for a Vacation Scheme, apply for an early Training Contract assessment day in January or wait for our Training Contract deadline in June - it’s entirely up to you.
