Placement Year Vacancy at L'Oreal

This placement gives excellent exposure on visual merchandising and retail design. Throughout the placement you will support the VM team and have a large amount of responsibility. You will speak with stores on a daily basis to help with any merchandising queries and work closely with suppliers to set up the artwork and organise the printing and installation for launches. Working closely with the marketing team, you will assist with the openings of new counters, ordering visuals and point of sale material as well as attending these installations to check it all runs smoothly.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Using SAP system to raise purchase orders
• Enter PO’s on Budget sheet and updating it on a weekly bases
• Resolving invoice queries in SAP system (webcycles)
• Supplying PO’s to respective suppliers, purchase team, Marketing or Vis Mark team
• Follow up PO’s release up to the final internal approval
• Raise material code for products to be delivered to our Warehouse
• Updating weekly status report for team catch up with GM and Merchandising Director
• Raise NCO’s every Friday with testers, permanent and temporary elements for refurbished doors and new counters
• Supporting the team with travel arrangements and booking accommodation
• Prepare distribution list for some PLV
• Keep PLV master sheet file up to date according to all changes on permanent PLV in store
• Support VM Assistant Manager developing Guidelines and organising quotes, printing and distribution

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support Visual Merchandising assistant Manager preparing and planning new counter openings/refits orders (from warehouse to installation team)
• Dealing with RBMs requests for missing items on counter or updates for counters
• Keep up to date file with light box visuals from all doors (top 100 and other doors which only get one update per year)
• Coordinating the yearly new price cards – collecting information from Sales team, approving artwork with agency, printing and sending to stores
• Updating merchandising stock list (grids, permanent and promo items) with quantities and codes
• Updating NCO orders for testers with current stock according to marketing new product list (and removing discontinued references for forms)
• Support VM Assistant Manager on merchandising Boardroom for presentations, Brand review, strategy meetings with retailers
• Support VM team on installation and Zone visit (once a year)
